See how simple things are and can be... to bad this guy's not running the world!
BEST THING I HAVE HEARD YET!! From a senior citizen around 80 yrs. of age. We aren't useless yet!!
There recently was an article in the St. Petersburg , Fl. Times. The Business Section asked readers for ideas on: "How Would You Fix the Economy?" I think this guy nailed it!
Dear Mr. President,
Please find below my suggestion for fixing America 's economy. Instead of giving billions of dollars to companies that will squander the money on lavish parties and unearned bonuses, use the following plan.
You can call it the "Patriotic Retirement Plan":
There are about 40 million people over 50 in the work force. Pay them $1 million apiece severance for early retirement with the following stipulations:
1) They MUST retire. Forty million job openings - Unemployment fixed.
2) They MUST buy a new AMERICAN Car. Forty million cars ordered - Auto Industry fixed.
3) They MUST either buy a house or pay off their mortgage - Housing Crisis fixed.
It can't get any easier than that!!
P.S. If more money is needed, have all members in Congress pay their taxes..
Mr. President, while you're at it, make Congress retire on Social Security and Medicare. I'll bet both programs would be fixed pronto!
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Friday lashed out at U.S. Senator John McCain, who called the death of Libyan strongman Muammar Gaddafi “reason to be nervous” for powerful Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.
"I think dictators all over the world, including Bashar al-Assad, maybe even Mr. Putin, maybe some Chinese, maybe all of them, may be a little bit more nervous," McCain said in an interview with the BBC late Thursday. "It's the spring, not just the Arab spring."
In an interview with three Russian Radio stations Lavrov shrugged off McCain’s remarks, saying the senator’s opinion is not decisive for U.S. politics.
“It’s not the first time we have heard such exotic remarks from Mr. McCain. I don't think his remarks deserve serious comment. He is a famous person with his phobias, his 'rats in the attic' if you wish. I do not believe he defines the position of the United States.”
Russia’s NATO envoy has written in his microblog that the Western elation over the death of former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi could have sadistic grounds.
“The faces of the leaders of ‘world democracies’ are so happy, as if they remembered how they hanged stray cats in basements in their childhoods,” Russian envoy to NATO and the leader of the Congress of Russian Communities, Dmitry Rogozin, wrote in his twitter status on Friday.
This statement apparently is a reply to the international reaction to the death of Colonel Muammar Gaddafi, who was killed as the forces of the National Transitional Council stormed the town of Sirte on Thursday.
Rogozin currently holds the position of Russia’s envoy to NATO and he was among the first Russian politicians to embrace the opportunities of social networks. He often shares his views on international politics via his Twitter account, and these posts have repeatedly made news in Russian and international media.
Rogozin is also the leader of the Congress of Russian Communities – the organization of ethnic Russians living abroad aimed at protecting their interests and strengthening the ties with the Motherland.
On Thursday evening Rogozin told Russian radio Echo of Moscow that NATO was directly involved in the operation to kill the former Libyan leader. “Apparently there were orders that oriented the military servicemen who are in Libya and that directed them to ensure the physical elimination of Gaddafi,” Rogozin said.
The official added that Russia must make a conclusion from the existing situation. “We must bear in mind who we are dealing with in the face of Western democracies,” Rogozin said.
This is not about Republicans or Democrats this is about the American people!
I couldn’t believe what I heard on Tuesday night’s Bloomberg Debate. Well, okay, I guess I could believe it, but let me qualify my recantation. There was always something about Cain that made him come off as a man who isn’t above deception. It probably has something to do with the fact that I don’t trust former Federal Reserve Chairmen. Still, I was surprised, not because because he lied, but what he lied about.
When they started the segment of the debate where each candidate could ask their own question, I knew that Paul was going to hammer Cain. However, I was hoping it was going to be on Herman Cain’s credibility on economic issues. Arguably, it would have been a much better question. Arguably, this could be seen as a missed opportunity on Ron Paul’s part, but hindsight may prove it better for Ron Paul to have kept that card in reserve. Instead of asking a question that would have highlighted his own credentials, Paul came out in defense of the countless grassroots supporters that pester Herman Cain on the issue of auditing the Federal Reserve.
New Discovery Shakes the Foundation of Cancer Research
October 15 2011
By Dr. Mercola
In a scandal that has reverberated around the world of cancer research, the Office of Research Integrity at the U.S. Department of Health found that a Boston University cancer scientist fabricated his findings. His work was published in two journals in 2009, and he’s been ordered to retract them. But important studies by other scientists like those at the Mayo Clinic, who based their work on his findings, could now make 10 years of their studies worthless, according to commentary in Gaia Health.
It seems fairly evident that the cancer industrial complex is a highly lucrative, well-oiled system that tends to support funding for expensive drug treatments that don't address the cause of the problem, and have yet to make a significant dent in the decrease of the overall cancer rate in the US despite investing hundreds of billions of dollars. Much of the support comes from flawed and biased "research" studies that support the use of expensive drugs as detailed in the featured articles.
Researchers, too, are well aware of the notoriety and money to be found in cancer research … particularly what may be deemed successful cancer research (which unfortunately is often measured by the discovery of new drug treatments). But, as with many areas of medical research, it's important to read between the lines of "scientifically proven" studies, even those that are well accepted.
Often what you'll find is the research gives the perception of science when really it is a heavily manipulated process designed to control and deceive. Case in point, here again we have an example of widely accepted, published research that turned out to be fabricated.
TEHRAN (FNA)- Family of Shahrzad Mir-Qolikhan, an innocent Iranian woman held in the US jails for the last four years, said that US prison guards have worsened insults, humiliation, mistreatment and mental torturing of Shahrzad even after Tehran released several US nationals in recent months.
"When the two US nationals were freed, Shahrzad was repeatedly mocked by prison guards and other prisoners," Shahrzad's mother Belqeis Rowshan told FNA.
"They (US guards) had told her 'we are American and we have the final say in the world," the mother said.
Rowshan along with Melika and Melina Mir-Qolikhan, the teenage twin daughters of the innocent Iranian woman, met with Shahrzad in US prison when Iran released Shane Bauer and Josh Fattal, who were detained on spying charges after crossing Iran-Iraq borders illegally in 2009.
She added that one of the American guards had called Shahrzad an "Iranian murderer and a terrorist Muslim" and a fascist, and told her that she would be kept in prison forever.
Earlier this month, Tehran renewed its call on Washington to free the innocent Iranian inmates imprisoned in the US jails, reminding Iran's good will gesture in releasing the three American nationals, Sarah Shourd, Shane Bauer and Josh Fattal.
"I advise the Americans to renounce violence against the Iranian nation and release the innocent Iranian nationals and avoid repeating this incorrect method," Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehman-Parast said.
Mehman-Parast called on Washington to reciprocate Tehran's goodwill gesture and release the Iranian nationals jailed in the US, including Amir Hossein Ardebili and Shahrzad Mir-Qolikhan.
More than 60 Iranian nationals are being held in US prisons, 11 of them on political grounds and without any proof or evidence.
Among the Iranian prisoners in the United States are Amir Hossein Ardebili, extradited to the US by Georgia, and Shahrzad Mir-Qolikhan, arrested under false charges.
Shahrzad was arrested in the US in December 2007 after being forced to return to the United States from a vacation in Cyprus.
Her former husband, Mahmoud Seif, had allegedly tried to export night-vision goggles to Iran from Austria. However, she was detained and sentenced to five years in prison by a Florida federal court in the absence of her husband.
When I was young I perceived the Zionist Israelis to be the Palestinians, and my, only enemy. The Zionist terrorist gangs had forcefully occupied my country, razed about 400 Palestinian towns, perpetrated many massacres against their Palestinian residents, and evicted many hundreds of thousands others out of the country into refugee camps. Among them was my family, whose property; home and ranch planted with citrus and olive trees and vineyards, were seized by Israeli terrorists.
Researching deep in the history and nature of the Arab/Israeli conflict, watching the unfoldment of the Palestinian struggle for freedom and independence against the savage Israeli oppression and territorial expansion, and examining the Western political policies towards the conflict I came to a new different realization. Israelis, themselves, are as victims as the Palestinians although to a very lesser extents. Those Israelis are being misguided, mass-brainwashed, and militarily driven by deliberately distorted and misinterpreted theology, political Rabbis, and Western Zionist imperialist powers to execute the colonial Zionist project of establishing Greater Israel in the heart of the Middle East.
It has become obvious to all, by now, that Israel could not have been created nor could it continue to exist as a viable state without the assistance of the West especially the USA. Israel is a military subsidiary of the US; a forward-deployed American military base in the Middle East, who is totally dependent on American funds. Since its creation, 63 years ago, Israel received more American tax money, $3 Trillions as reported by Army War College in 2003, than any other country on earth. This money is used to cover the expenses of hoarding to Israel, housing, re-socializing, and absorbing every Zionist Jewish immigrant. It subsidizes homes for every Israeli citizen. It pays for free education of every Israeli child from elementary school until university graduation. It is used to create industries and jobs in Israel. It pays for complete medical coverage and for hefty monthly social security payment for every Israeli senior citizen. Even during the current economic crisis, when American tax-paying citizens are losing their jobs, losing their homes, the majority are without medical benefits, their educational system is facing severe budget cuts, with high rate of unemployment and many middle-class families are on the verge of poverty, their tax money is still generously transferred to subsidize Israelis’ relatively comfort living. Without the financial, technological, military, and political support of the successive American Administrations Israel would not have been created and would immediately collapse.
Successive American Administrations, since President Woodrow Wilson up to President Barak Obama, are the real enemy of the Palestinians.
Arming and supporting Israel unconditionally, while fighting and undermining in every way possible the Palestinian legitimate struggle for freedom, self-determination and statehood had been a core principle in the American foreign policy. Despite the American Administration’s claims to be an honest broker in the already 20 years old Palestinian/Israeli peace negotiations, and despite their claimed support for the two states solution we are witnessing only more Israeli expansions and more encroachments of fully armed aggressive fundamentalist extremists Israeli settlers on Palestinian towns. American Administrations have never been the honest broker they claimed to be, rather an Israeli full partner in occupation and oppression of Palestinians.
Enumerating all the actions of the American Administrations detrimental to Palestinians would require volumes. For the purpose of this article I will mention just few.
During WWI Great Britain was losing the war to Germany and was... continue reading this report at intifada-palestine.com
10/06/11 September 30, 2011 was the day America was assassinated.
Many expected President Obama to re-establish the accountability of government to law. Instead, he went further than Bush/Cheney and asserted the unconstitutional power not only to hold American citizens indefinitely in prison without bringing charges, but also to take their lives without convicting them in a court of law. Obama asserts that the US Constitution notwithstanding, he has the authority to assassinate US citizens, who he deems to be a “threat,” without due process of law.
In other words, any American citizen who is moved into the threat category has no rights and can be executed without trial or evidence.
On September 30 Obama used this asserted new power of the president and had two American citizens, Anwar Awlaki and Samir Khan murdered. Khan was a wacky character associated with Inspire Magazine and does not readily come to mind as a serious threat.
Awlaki was a moderate American Muslim cleric who served as an advisor to the US government after 9/11 on ways to counter Muslim extremism. Awlaki was gradually radicalized by Washington’s use of lies to justify military attacks on Muslim countries. He became a critic of the US government and told Muslims that they did not have to passively accept American aggression and had the right to resist and to fight back. As a result Awlaki was demonized and became a threat.
All we know that Awlaki did was to give sermons critical of Washington’s indiscriminate assaults on Muslim peoples. Washington’s argument is that his sermons might have had an influence on some who are accused of attempting terrorist acts, thus making Awlaki responsible for the attempts.
Obama’s assertion that Awlaki was some kind of high-level Al Qaeda operative is merely an assertion. Jason Ditz concluded that the reason Awlaki was murdered rather than brought to trial is that the US government had no real evidence that Awlaki was an Al Qaeda operative.
Having murdered its critic, the Obama Regime is working hard to posthumously promote Awlaki to a leadership position in Al Qaeda. The presstitutes and the worshippers of America’s First Black President have fallen in line and regurgitated the assertions that Awlaki was a high-level dangerous Al Qaeda terrorist. If Al Qaeda sees value in Awlaki as a martyr, the organization will give credence to these claims. However, so far no one has provided any evidence. Keep in mind that all we know about Awlaki is what Washington claims and that the US has been at war for a decade based on false claims.
But what Awlaki did or might have done is beside the point. The US Constitution requires that even the worst murderer cannot be punished until he is convicted in a court of law. When the American Civil Liberties Union challenged in federal court Obama’s assertion that he had the power to order assassinations of American citizens, the Obama Justice (sic) Department argued that Obama’s decision to have Americans murdered was an executive power beyond the reach of the judiciary.
In a decision that sealed America’s fate, federal district court judge John Bates ignored the Constitution’s requirement that no person shall be deprived of life without due process of law and dismissed the case, saying that it was up to Congress to decide. Obama acted before an appeal could be heard, thus using Judge Bates’ acquiescence to establish the power and advance the transformation of the president into a Caesar that began under George W. Bush.
Attorneys Glenn Greenwald and Jonathan Turley point out that Awlaki’s assassination terminated the Constitution’s restraint on the power of government. Now the US government not only can seize a US citizen and confine him in prison for the rest of his life without ever presenting evidence and obtaining a conviction, but also can have him shot down in the street or blown up by a drone.
Before some readers write to declare that Awlaki’s murder is no big deal because the US government has always had people murdered, keep in mind that CIA assassinations were of foreign opponents and were not publicly proclaimed events, much less a claim by the president to be above the law. Indeed, such assassinations were denied, not claimed as legitimate actions of the President of the United States.
The Ohio National Guardsmen who shot Kent State students as they protested the US invasion of Cambodia in 1970 made no claim to be carrying out an executive branch decision. Eight of the guardsmen were indicted by a grand jury. The guardsmen entered a self-defense plea. Most Americans were angry at war protestors and blamed the students. The judiciary got the message, and the criminal case was eventually dismissed. The civil case (wrongful death and injury) was settled for $675,000 and a statement of regret by the defendants.
The point isn’t that the government killed people. The point is that never prior to President Obama has a President asserted the power to murder citizens.
Seeing Through Walls: New Radar Technology Provides Real-Time Video of What’s Going On Behind Solid Walls
The ability to see through walls is no longer the stuff of science fiction, thanks to new radar technology developed at MIT's Lincoln Laboratory.
Much as humans and other animals see via waves of visible light that bounce off objects and then strike our eyes' retinas, radar "sees" by sending out radio waves that bounce off targets and return to the radar's receivers. But just as light can't pass through solid objects in quantities large enough for the eye to detect, it's hard to build radar that can penetrate walls well enough to show what's happening behind. Now, Lincoln Lab researchers have built a system that can see through walls from some distance away, giving an instantaneous picture of the activity on the other side.
The researchers' device is an unassuming array of antenna arranged into two rows -- eight receiving elements on top, 13 transmitting ones below -- and some computing equipment, all mounted onto a movable cart. But it has powerful implications for military operations, especially "urban combat situations," says Gregory Charvat, technical staff at Lincoln Lab and the leader of the project.

The State of the global Economy
(Sounds like the ‘One World Bank’ is going to be their answer)
The country needs to restructure
We have to restructure at the same time globally
We have to wipe out debts; when or how is that going to happen?
Looks like we'll have to draw new charts!
You can pretend you can borrow forever but you cant
As Founder and Managing Partner of Hayman Advisors, LP, J. Kyle Bass has proven himself to be one of the most well respected hedge fund managers and forecasters in the global investment community. Renowned for his conviction as well as his investment savvy, Bass hit the headlines with his prescient trades in shorting the subprime mortgage market in 2007. Behind the headlines was one of the most unique and rigorous investment methodologies ever used in mortgage-related investing. Since that time, Bass has been one of the most proactive investors in Washington and abroad, warning about unsustainable fiscal deficits poised to destabilize the global economy and markets with a magnitude similar to the 1930s.
Todd Groome and Toni Moss spoke with Kyle at AmeriCatalyst 2010 in Austin in September, asking him about his thoughts on prospects for housing market recovery, current policy issues and national debt implications, global debt imbalances and his perspectives on the influence of policy on the timing, sequence and magnitude of potential sovereign defaults and debt restructurings.

Stimulus jobs went to foreign nationals in Oregon timber industry Oct 21, 2011
(Thanks to Terry for sharing this with us)
PORTLAND, Ore. - As the U.S. economy spiraled deeper into recession, Oregonians looking for work in the forestry industry lost out on hundreds of jobs to foreign workers.
They weren't just any jobs. These were jobs paid for by American taxpayers as part of the government's program to stimulate the economy.
Four Oregon companies, all located in the Medford area, racked up more than $7 million in stimulus contracts to clear the forest in Central Oregon. But instead of advertising the jobs to Oregonians, they recruited workers out of state and then hired foreign workers here on a visa.
