John Perkins - The Secret History of the American Empire
Author John Perkins spoke at Marlboro College on 4/23/08. Drawing on experiences described in his two New York Times bestsellers, Perkins describes the post-WWII era as one that created history's first truly global empire -- mostly through economics, rather than the military. Now we find ourselves catapulted toward a future that appears catastrophic to many people; however, in Perkins's view it offers great opportunities. Identifying corporations as "the most influential institutions on the planet," he challenges us to transform ourselves and the companies that so deeply impact our lives. He presents a plan for creating a world "that will make our children proud of us."
John Perkins spent three decades as an Economic Hit Man, business executive, author, and lecturer. He lived and worked in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, and North America. Then he made a decision: he would use these experiences to make the planet a better place for his daughters generation. Today he teaches about the importance of rising to higher levels of consciousness, to waking up -- in both spiritual and physical realms -- and is a champion for environmental and social causes.
This coming war for Israel will be different, it will not be a pushover like the others, Iran has friends who really do have WMDS, and they will be coming to a city near you.
Both Russia and China have told the US, " no more aggressive wars for Israel or for profit."
It does not bother your politicians because they will be deep underground, but you and your families, your neighbours, workmates and children will be out in it, severe radiation burns means the flesh just falls off your bones, just comes away in your hands and you die in torment, thats if the germ warfare does not get you first.
You want this for America your friends and families ? then speak out, email your senators and congressmen and make sure they get the message, because the politicians have spent your money and soon they will be spending you.
Tell them NO MORE WARS and mean it, this is your last chance.
Thank you for providing this eye opening websites. I'm not sure if you're following
the media war against Syria.
It is so sad that people are so blind to the TRUTH. The
Barbara Walters interview that aired yesterday with President Bashar al Assad was
completely censored to prevent the American citizens from discovering the truth about
this corrupt government and media.
Here is the TRANSCRIPT of the interview directly from
ABC, please post this and open people's eye to the truth. He is a very articulate man
that the media described yesterday as a "mad man" "delusional". They
fail to ever show the MILLIONS of Bashar al Assad protestors that gather in cities with
their flags and ballons and t-shirts supporting him! The reason he hasn't conducted any
interviews with the Western governments is because he knows they will not report the
truth and will censor the important FACTS, which is exactly what they did yesterday.
The Syrians are angered that ABC distorted facts and altered the interview.
NATO fuel tankers set ablaze in Pakistan
Assailants torched more than 20 tankers in Pakistan carrying fuel for U.S. and NATO troops in neighboring Afghanistan on Thursday, in the first reported attack since Islamabad closed the border to protest coalition airstrikes that killed 24 Pakistani troops last month.
TEHRAN - An informed source in the Iranian military has said that Russian and Chinese officials have asked for permission to inspect the U.S. spy drone that was recently downed by the Iranian Armed Forces, Nasimonline.ir reported on Wednesday.
On Sunday, an unidentified Iranian military source said that the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic had downed an advanced RQ-170 unmanned U.S. spy plane, which had violated the country’s airspace along the eastern border.
There are unconfirmed reports that Iran may put the drone on public display.
According to the Washington Post, the RQ-170 drone has been used by the CIA for highly sensitive missions into other nations’ airspace, including months of surveillance of the compound in Pakistan in which Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden was allegedly hiding before he was killed in an attack by Special Operations forces on May 1, 2011.
On Monday, U.S. military officials said that they are concerned that Tehran may now have an opportunity to acquire information about the classified surveillance drone program, AP reported.
U.S. officials considered conducting a covert mission inside Iran to retrieve or destroy the stealth drone but ultimately concluded such a secret operation wasn’t worth the risk of provoking a more explosive clash with Tehran, a U.S. official said, the Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday.

US, Israel covert war against Iran suspected: report
Many former US intelligence officials and Iran experts believe last month's explosion at a military base near Tehran was part of a covert effort by the US, Israel and other states to disable Iran's nuclear and missile programs, The Los Angeles Times reported late Sunday.
The huge explosion ripped through the Revolutionary Guard Corps base on November 12, leveling most of the buildings and killing 17 people, including a founder of Iran's ballistic missile program, General Hassan Tehrani Moghaddam.
The newspaper said the goal of the covert effort is to derail Iran's quest for a nuclear weapons capability and to stave off an Israeli or US airstrike to eliminate or lessen the threat.
"It looks like the 21st century form of war," the paper quotes Patrick Clawson, who directs the Iran Security Initiative at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, as saying. "It does appear that there is a campaign of assassinations and cyber war, as well as the semi-acknowledged campaign of sabotage."
Any such operation would be highly classified, and those who might know are not talking, the report said.
Chinese President Hu Jintao on Tuesday urged the navy to prepare for military combat, amid growing regional tensions over maritime disputes and a US campaign to assert itself as a Pacific power.
The navy should "accelerate its transformation and modernisation in a sturdy way, and make extended preparations for military combat in order to make greater contributions to safeguard national security," he said.
New US strategy brings risk of new arms race Global Times | December 08, 2011
"AirSea Battle (ASB)" is a US strategic plan that envisions China as the main opponent. In a recent press conference, Spokesman of China's Ministry of National Defense Geng Yansheng stated that the plan is nothing new and is the result of a cold war mentality. Why has the US developed such a plan? How should China respond? Global Times (GT) reporter Yu Jincui talked to Fan Gaoyue (Fan), a senior colonel in the People's Liberation Army and research fellow at the PLA Academy of Military Science, on these issues.
These countries are active participants while China and other countries in the region are passive ones. Under the threats of the US ASB plan, they have to make some preparations, such as increasing military funding, developing new joint operation theories and new type of weapons, and enhancing military strength to avoid being on the back foot if a war occurs.
President Obama has pinned his re-election hopes on a change of policy that threatens trade ties between the two countries
Recent China-targeted initiatives by US President Barack Obama have soured Sino-US relations.
At the just-concluded East Asian Summit, Obama reiterated an increased US presence in Asia and announced a stance on the South China Sea disputes that is at odds with the diplomacy of Beijing on the issue. In his preceding visit to Australia, he also unveiled a plan to station 2,500 US troops in the country within the next five years. These, along with the provocative remarks recently made by the Obama administration on China's renminbi exchange rate and a raft of actions that have harmed China's core interests, including an arms sales package to Taiwan, Obama's meeting with the Dalai Lama and Washington's increased anti-dumping and anti-subsidy investigations against China, have seriously affected the stable development of Sino-US economic and trade relations.
Obama was once viewed by Beijing as a pragmatic US leader, as indicated by his efforts to set up the Strategic and Economic Dialogue mechanism with China and work with Beijing to tackle the global financial crisis and resolve other major global issues. However, the latest developments are an indication that there has been a change in the Obama administration's policy toward China in the face of the US' stubbornly high unemployment rate and weak economic growth.
An escalation in tensions between the US and China is by no means wise at a time when China is the biggest holder of US national debt and its fastest-growing export market. A strengthened economic and trade relationship with China will undoubtedly help the US create more jobs and expedite the pace of its much-needed economic recovery.
Although it has managed to pull out of a lingering recession, the US economy has failed to achieve a sustained recovery. The US' current unemployment rate remains at 9 percent and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development expects it to stay at around 8.9 percent next year. Plagued by such a high jobless rate, the US' economic growth rate in the third quarter, the most robust among this year's first three quarters, was only 2 percent. According to a September prediction made by the International Monetary Fund, the world's largest economy will have a growth rate of only 1.8 percent next year and will be unable to effectively withstand the effects of any major risks from the outside world. As US pollster Bill McInturff has observed, the average US consumer confidence index is usually 95 when a president wins re-election and 76 when losing the re-election contest. In November, the index was only 55, indicating Obama's prospects for re-election look particularly gloomy.
Obama has vowed to double US exports within five years, but to realize such an ambitious plan, an average annual 15 percent growth rate is needed. But China has been the only market to which the US has maintained such a high export growth since 2000. Such a fast US export momentum has continued into this year, 18.3 percent in the first nine months. Washington should acknowledge the importance of a stable external market to the realization of such a target. It should know that stronger export restrictions on China will worsen the current international trade environment and make the goal unattainable.
The current policy of containing China being pushed by the US Congress and the Obama administration, if kept unchecked in the future, will inevitably cause huge damage to the otherwise healthy advancement of relations between the two countries and will likely bring their economic and trade ties to the brink of a trade war. The reversal of the long-established win-win trade pattern will not only damage China's interests, it will also damage the interests of China-based American transnational companies. Statistics from the US Bureau of Economic Analysis show the sales revenues achieved by the subsidiaries of US' transnational companies with direct investment in China increased to $243.77 billion in 2009 from the only $3.23 billion in 1994.
In the context of deepening globalization, the significance of the economic and trade ties between the world's two biggest economies goes far beyond the bilateral scope. Thus, a trade war between the two countries would have wide-ranging global effects.
Sino-US cooperation has proved beneficial to both sides and thus the two countries should try to extricate bilateral economic and trade ties from any restrictive political factors. Antagonism and unilateral threats will do no good to the highly interdependent economic and trade ties between the two countries. Politicians in Washington should look at the US' economic and trade ties with China from a long-term, and even self-serving perspective, and try to curb their blame China tendencies.

FOX fakes Moscow protest with footage of Athens clashes
Prime Minister Vladimir Putin strongly criticized U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton on Thursday, accusing her of encouraging and funding Russians protesting election fraud, and warned of a wider Russian crackdown on dissent.
By describing Russia's parliamentary election as rigged, Putin said Clinton "gave a signal" to his opponents.
"They heard this signal and with the support of the U.S. State Department began their active work," Putin said in televised remarks. He said the United States is spending "hundreds of millions" of dollars to influence Russian politics with the aim of weakening a rival nuclear power.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has described as ‘disrespectful’ US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s critical remarks on the December 4 parliamentary elections in Russia. Urging his US counterpart to utter criticism in the format of a dialogue, Lavrov lamented Clinton’s using the rostrum of the Organization for Security and Cooperation as a means to court voters and obtain political points ahead of the presidential elections in the US.
Speaking at a session of the OSCE’s foreign ministers in Vilnius on Tuesday, Clinton lambasted last week’s parliamentary polls in Russia which she said were “neither free nor fair.” The Russian Foreign Ministry called her statement “unacceptable.”
Lavrov, for his part, emphasized that Clinton’s statement was nothing but a sign of disrespect toward the OSCE. “This is not the aim of our convening at what is known as the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe,” Lavrov said. “The OSCE is not a place for holding rallies. This is neither Hyde Park neither Moscow’s Triumfalnaya Square. This is not a place for speechmakers to talk and then go away, “Lavrov added.
"Regrettably," he says, "some of my colleagues prefer to come and use this rostrum to make critical remarks which are completely out of line with the agenda. This was also the case with my colleague Hillary Clinton who seems to have arrived at the Vilnius gathering to once again woo her voters and those of the Democratic Party. It appears that she wanted to show that they are tough guys. She left Vilnius right after her speech at the gathering with other foreign ministers following suit, something that once again confirms the fact that the OSCE remains, I would say, in a critical condition," Lavrov concludes.
The Russian delegation hoped that the Vilnius gathering would breathe new life into the OSCE, in line with the relevant agreement adopted during last year’s OSCE summit in Astana. The first day of the ministerial meeting showed, however, that the OSCE’s reform is unlikely to be implemented. To avoid a diplomatic showdown, the Russian delegation refrained from responding in kind to Clinton’s criticism immediately. Russian diplomats just warned their Western colleagues against interfering into third countries’ domestic affairs and using double standards.
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, for his part, stressed on Tuesday that the political system is a country’s internal affair and that this issue is not up foreign partners’ alley. Vladimir Churov, head of the Russian Central Elections Commission, in turn urged the US Secretary of State to pay attention to her country’s presidential elections slated for November 2012.
BOMBSHELL: US Caught Meddling in Russian Elections! Putin compares US funded NGOs to Judas the betrayer
by Tony Cartalucci
December 4, 2011 - What would Americans say if they found their polling stations and certain political parties entirely infiltrated by Chinese money, Chinese observers, and Chinese-backed candidates promoting China's interests in an AMERICAN election? The answer ranges from incarceration, to trials featuring charges ranging from fraud, to sedition and even treason with sentences ranging from decades to life in prison, perhaps even death, as well as possible military action for what could easily be considered an act of war.
Indeed, the attempted subversion of a foreign nation and/or meddling in its elections are acts of war, an act of war the United States government through its various "Non-Governmental Organizations" (NGOs) have been committing on and off for decades around the globe. In fact, the very "Arab Spring" is a geopolitical conflagration tipped off by this vast network of Western backed NGOs.
One of the CIA's most important secrets in the war on terrorism was hiding in plain sight, on a leafy residential street along a busy set of train tracks in Romania's capital. There, tucked in the basement of a government building, the CIA ran a clandestine prison, former U.S. intelligence officials said.
For years, the building — codenamed Bright Light — housed some of the CIA's most important terror suspects, including Khalid Sheik Mohammad, the mastermind of the Sept. 11,2001 attacks against the U.S. Even after the detainees were shipped off to Guantanamo Bay in 2006 and reports about the prison began to surface, the Romanian government repeatedly denied any knowledge of its existence.
BEIRUT (AP) — The leader of Lebanon's Hezbollah movement made a rare public appearance at a Beirut rally on Tuesday to mark the Shiite holy day of Ashoura, saying his militant group is acquiring more weapons and members every day.
Sheik Hassan Nasrallah said Hezbollah was "here to stay" and would never compromise on its weapons.
The group's weapons are a contentious issue in Lebanon. Hezbollah insists it needs to maintain its powerful arsenal to ward off any threat from Israel but the weapons also make it the most potent military force in Lebanon — far stronger than even the national army.
"We are growing in numbers, our training is getting better and our weapons are increasing," Nasrallah said. "And for those who are betting that our weapons are rusting, we say that our weapons are being renewed."
Shocking Health News: ALL The Vaccines Are Contaminated... Every Last One Of Them!
Have you been rushing out to get a yearly flu vaccine or diligently taking your children for the 40 or so mandated childhood vaccines?
That's really a shame because you have unwittingly been trading a run-of-the-mill flu or just the measles, for loading up your or your children's bodies with cancer and other deadly viruses, a destructive bacteria, a chemical selected to damage fertility, and with synthetic DNA that threatens to damage your own DNA - the biologic code for your existence.
WASHINGTON (AP) — The Obama administration is announcing a wide-ranging effort to use U.S. foreign aid to promote rights for gays and lesbians abroad, including combating attempts by foreign governments to criminalize homosexuality.
In a memorandum issued Tuesday, President Barack Obama directed U.S. agencies working abroad, including the State Department and the U.S. Agency for International Development, to use foreign aid to assist gays and lesbians who are facing human rights violations. And he ordered U.S. agencies to protect vulnerable gay and lesbian refugees and asylum seekers.
"The struggle to end discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender persons is a global challenge, and one that is central to the United States' commitment to promoting human rights," Obama said in a statement.
(Regulations From The Executive In Need Of Scrutiny)
House Passes Davis' REINS Act
Today, the House of Representatives passed Congressman Geoff Davis bill, H.R. 10, the Regulations from the Executive in Need of Scrutiny (REINS) Act, by a bipartisan vote of 241 to 184.
Congressman Davis said, The point of the REINS Act is accountability. Each member of Congress must take a stand and be accountable for regulations that will have the greatest impact on our economy. Regulatory compliance costs small businesses an estimated $10,500 per employee annually. At a time of high unemployment, we must do something about this massive burden. No longer would Congress be able to avoid accountability by writing vague laws requiring the benefits up front and leaving the unpopular or costly elements up to the bureaucrats who will write those elements of the law at some later date.
I want to thank all of the supporters of the REINS Act, especially Speaker Boehner, Chairman Smith, Senator Paul, and the over 200 co-sponsors for their tireless efforts to advance this commonsense legislation.¯
Speaker of the House John Boehner said, Passage of the REINS Act is a significant step towards fulfilling our obligations to the American people outlined in the Pledge to America. The REINS Act will make the regulatory process more open and accountable, and rein in unelected bureaucrats from strangling small businesses in red tape, which will give private sector job creators the confidence they need to grow our economy and hire.¯
House Judiciary Chairman Lamar Smith said, More than once this year, the President has talked about the dangers that excessive regulations pose to our economy. But unfortunately, his actions speak louder than his words. The Obama administration is preparing numerous regulations that each will cost the economy $1 billion or more per year.
The American people want job creation, not more regulation. The REINS Act reins in out-of-control federal regulations that burden Americas businesses and job creators. It guarantees that Congress “ not unelected agency officials “ will be accountable for all new major regulatory costs.¯
The REINS Act would require an up-or-down, standalone vote in Congress and the Presidents signature on all new major rules before they can be enforced on the American people, job-creating small businesses, or State and local governments. Major rules are those that have an annual economic impact of $100 million or more.
Congressman Davis originally introduced the REINS Act during the 111th Congress, and reintroduced the bill in the 112th Congress as H.R. 10, which has the bipartisan support of over 200 co-sponsors. Senator Rand Paul [KY] introduced the companion bill in the Senate as S. 299, which currently has the bipartisan support of 31 co-sponsors.
More than 30 organizations have endorsed the REINS Act. Click here to view a complete list and read letters of support.
Melted Fuel Near Point of Reaching Bottom Container, Barrier Needed
The operator of the crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant revealed Wednesday that melted nuclear fuel has nearly reached the bottom steel wall under the concrete.
Following the March 11 earthquake and tsunami, all of the fuel inside the No. 1 reactor melted after cooling functions failed with a substantial amount of the fuel melting through the reactor pressure vessel and dripping into the outer container.
On Wednesday, Tokyo Electric Power Company, said the melted fuel has eroded the concrete base of the reactor container by up to 65 centimeters.
If the erosion expands another 37 centimeters, it would be hitting the steel wall.
However, TEPCO's analysis is rough at best because it is a prediction of the current situation inside the reactor based on its temperature change and injection of cooling water.
"TEPCO's analysis says we have 30 centimeters of the concrete base left to prevent the melted fuel to hit the bottom. But I am not confident that we have that much space left. We have to be prepared for the worst case scenario."
If the fuel melts through the remaining concrete embedment, which is only some 30 centimeters, it is bound to seep into the soil.
Therefore, experts say TEPCO must find a measure to prevent fuel leakage.
"I think they must install a 5 to 10 meter barrier in the basement to prevent the worst case scenario."
Leakage of melted fuel may invite a host of difficult problems such as safe removal of the fuel in a cold shutdown of the nuclear reactor in the future.
For that reason, experts stress TEPCO must promptly find a way to put a stop to the fuel erosion inside the reactor.

Dr. Sebastian Pflugbeil “Tokyo is on the path of Kiev”
December 2nd, 2011
Dr. Sebastian Pflugbeil, the chairman of German Society of Radiation Protection had a lecture in Berlin, and talked about Tokyo.
To the question about what we can do to minimize the damage of the accident, he answered:
“Nothing. There is no way to stop the nuclear fuel that has melted-through leaking. All we could do is to pray for the fuel not to touch the underground water vein.
We must avoid internal exposure from contaminated food. Authorities are trying to make Japanese eat polluted food for their twisted patriotism, but on the other hand, citizens are setting up independent labs around Japan. This is very important. However, lab facility costs are huge. Maintenance, recording the data costs too. Now, the best thing Germans can do is to support those independent facilities financially.”
To another question “How dangerous Tokyo is now?” He answered:
“Tokyo is not the safe area. Now Tokyo is in the similar situation to Kiev in Chernobyl. Ukrainian Government couldn’t define that densely populated area, Kiev, as evacuating area so they did not admit Kiev was threatened and manipulated the radiation map to look like Plutonium stopped just before Kiev.”
Around in Kiev, there were 11 million children in 1990, and now there are 8 million. However, the number of deformed babies is the same, which means the ratio of deformation is increasing. Low dose exposure obviously affects DNA. Only 10 % of babies sent to Kiev hospital can live longer than 1 year.
Illegal immigration is bad but is not the real threat to America and the economy. If the number 1 & 2 current issues on the minds of the vast majority of Americans is truly jobs and immigration then the focus needs to shift to “legal” immigration in stead of the illegal type. The real questions to the public should be “Whether the U.S. should allow the replacement of U.S. workers with foreigners imported under the several visa programs and should Government hire foreigners in stead of U.S workers?”
Based on Government figures, every year over 200,000 U.S. workers are fired and replaced by foreigners imported for the specific purpose of replacing the competent U.S. worker. In summary, Visas (H-1b, L-1, O-1 and TN) are used to replace competent U.S. workers thus harming both the American and the economy. Currently, there are 850,000 U.S. jobs being occupied by foreigners imported under the visa programs. There is no shortage of Americans to fill those jobs. The majority of imported foreigners were brought to the U.S to replace competent U.S. workers. Thus, there are at least 850,000 competnert, formerly employed, U.S. workers on welfare straining the U.S. budget and not inputting into the U.S. economy.
The true scale of the harm is visible by understanding that in the past 20 years approximately 6,000,000 U.S. workers have been forced out of their careers and put on public welfare so that employers could replace them with foreigners. The U.S. taxpayer has and continues to picked up the tab to support the unemployed masses. The U.S. Dept. of Labor statistics and studies from several Universities, establish that there has never been a year with a “shortage” of U.S. workers to fill all the jobs, especially in the computer field. Yet, Congress takes money every year from employers to allow the replacement of qualified U.S. workers with low pay foreign workers. Wall Street claims that there is a shortage of worker to fill their needs. Yet, with ever growing frequency, U.S. workers are forced to train their foreign replacements, who are unqualified to do the job. Thus far, big business has yet to explain how there could be a “shortage” when business must fire competent U.S. workers to make room for foreigners.
There is no harm to the U.S. economy to send the foreigners home especially since most do not pay taxes. Because the foreign worker is considered a “guest-worker” the employer does not take out any employment taxes. The foreigners do not pay Social Security Taxes but do use the government health net, schools, roads, and other infrastructure. Further, the foreigners do not pay for the social cost of supporting the out of work American and their families. Also, the foreigners send their savings home to their foreign country thus depriving the U.S. economy of any extra earnings from the savings.
For the past 15 years, it is undisputed that the H-1B program has been used by most, if not all, companies to replace U.S. workers with foreign workers. Because of Congress, a company uses their competent American worker to train H-1B foreigners, then fires the American worker and reduces the pay to the H-1B foreigner. Congress has always known of this practice to replace U.S. workers and in response passed laws to make it easier to do so.
