Unconventional Weapons against The People of Gaza
Interview of Dr. Mads Gilbert
By Akram al-Sattari
Link

Here are some of the highlights.

"The Israelis are using a new type of very high explosive weapons which are called Dense Inert Metal Explosive (DIME) and are made out of a tungsten alloy. These weapons have an enormous power to explode."

"these weapons will have a cancer effect on those who survive. They will develop cancer we suspect."

"All that is happening in Gaza here now is against international law, it is against humanity"

"Almost all of the patients we have received have these sever amputations. They seem to have been affected by this kind of weapon. Of course, we have many fragment injuries and burns but those who have got their limbs cut off, constitutes quite a large proportion.

You know we have a lot to do. Palestinian doctors, nurses and paramedics do an incredibly heroic job to save their people. Doctor Eric and I are just a small drip in the ocean, but we learn from them."

And then decide where do you stand.

We stand with the people of Palestine whose lives are being destroyed.

We stand in solidarity with their struggle.

We stand for humanity against the US-Israeli war criminals.

Michel Chossudovsky, Global Research, January 5, 2009

This report confirms that these attacks are quite deliberately directed against civilians, using new unconventional weapons.

This is a carefully planned humanitarian catastrophe. How can anybody in their right mind support the actions of the Israeli government.

Read this interview with a distinguished and courageous Norwegian doctor

Doctor Mads Gilbert is a member of a Norwegian triage medical team present in the besieged Gaza Strip. The team has exposed that Israel has used depleted uranium weapons in its war on the impoverished territory which is home to 1.5 million Palestinians. He described the conditions inside Gaza in an exclusive Press TV interview.

Press TV: What can you tell about the uranium findings?

Dr. Mads Gilbert:The findings about the uranium I cannot tell you much about, but I can tell you that we have clear evidence that the Israelis are using a new type of very high explosive weapons which are called Dense Inert Metal Explosive (DIME) and are made out of a tungsten alloy.

These weapons have an enormous power to explode.

The power of the explosion dissipates very quickly and the strength does not travel long, maybe 10 meters, but those humans who are hit by this explosion, this pressure wave are cut in pieces.

This was first used in Lebanon in 2006, it was used here in Gaza in 2006 and the injuries that we see in Shifa [Hospital] now, many many of them I suspect and we all suspect are the effect of DIME weapons used by the Israelis.

On the long term, these weapons will have a cancer effect on those who survive. They will develop cancer we suspect. There has been very little research on this but some research has been among other places in the United States, which show that these weapons have a high tendency to develop cancer. So they kill and those who survive risk having cancer.

Press TV: And what do you have to say about this?

Dr. Mads Gilbert: All that is happening in Gaza here now is against international law, it is against humanity and I think it is against what it means to be a decent person. You don't treat other people like this. Even if you disagree with him... maybe even if you fight with them, you don't treat civilians, children and women like this.

And I have an appeal to the Israeli doctors and nurses. They are my colleagues. We belong to the same international community, the medical community. I wish that the good doctors and nurses in Israel tell their government to stop these atrocities. We cannot continue with this. We may differ in opinions, but you cannot treat the civilian Palestinian population in Gaza in this way.

Today, they were bombing in Gaza City; we received 150 wounded and more than 50 killed.

Press TV: Only at Shifa?!

Dr. Mads Gilbert: Yes, here in Shifa. I treated a ten-year-old boy. He had his whole chest filled with fragments from the bomb. On his lap was another person's leg that had been cut off. We resuscitated him and did everything we could do to save his life but he died between our hands.

This is such a terrible experience and behind the numbers that you report all the time, there are human beings, families, women, grandmothers, children. That is in fact the reality in this situation. Those who are paying the price for the Israeli bombardments now are the common people, the Palestinian people.

Half of the population in Palestine are below 15 years and 80 percent of the people in Gaza live below the level of poverty defined by the UN. Now they don't have food, they don't have electricity. It's cold they don't have warmth and in addition to that, they are killed.

This must be stopped.

Press TV How many people did you see that are effected by this weapon?

Dr. Mads Gilbert: Almost all of the patients we have received have these sever amputations.

Doctor Eric and I are just a small drip in the ocean, but we learn from them. Unfortunately, we don't have the time to do research, we have to save lives, but this question should be researched by the international community.

Gaza atrocity
By Leila Diab
Link

As I awoke this morning and opened up my email to check my mail, I found several very disturbing and disheartening news of yet another atrocity in the Gaza Strip. As the sun rose over the Gaza Strip, on the 28th of December, 2008, the Israeli military government launched a massive wave of air attacks on the Gaza Strip people. At least 200 Palestinians have been killed, and more than 200 Palestinians have been wounded. (Watch video: Israel launches deadly air strikes on Gaza) (Watch video:UN calls for Israel to open Gaza border to aid)

According to an Israeli military spokesman, Avi Benayhu, he reported to the Israeli army radio that the massive bombardment of Gaza was only just beginning.

Does anyone care? "Truly don't we care? And, why don’t we care?" decried my anguished Indian friend, Bindu, upon hearing of the news in Gaza. Is this a civilized government - the bombardment of thousands of defenseless Palestinian men, women and children? They can't even possibly escape from the prison confines of its army controls and after it has starved the population for months and reduced it to absolute penury!

Does "collateral damage" of women and children justify the Israeli government's security manifestations and claims, while being - the world's fourth largest army against the people of Gaza, a race of people who both physically, psychologically, and deliriously are suffering from hunger, economic deprivation and confinement? Will American politicians, Arab and Muslim leaders and the world community's leaders condemn the Israeli military government's attacks on a defenseless Palestinian population?

The gruesome pictures sent to me this morning of the Gaza atrocity, tell yet another story of a senseless atrocity in the Gaza Strip region. Why? Can these crimes against humanity usher in a new year of a peaceful hope in 2009?

Together, all peaceful voices of conscience and goodwill in the world need to be heard while urgent and desperate action from the United Nations, world leaders, the Arab and Muslim leaders, and American politicians MUST bring justice to the offenders of these crimes against humanity. And yes, public outcry must be voiced and enacted in all sectors of society across the world to protest, and let it be known that violence does not solve problems or make peace...only political solutions can define when enough is enough and when peace is possible.

"I am ashamed that my government has remained silent. After the disheartening and senseless Bombay tragedy, not long ago, now the disturbing news of the Gaza Strip atrocity. Does anybody really care anymore? And, when will our world leaders make peace with their conscience? Truly, we don't care about humanity. Sadly, this causes me much anguish," decried my Indian friend, Bindu.

Chorus call for New World Order
Link

In economic and financial desperation, leaders around the globe are openly calling for the creation of a "New World Order," including prominent "old guard" members of the Trilateral Commission. Is the baby about to be born?

The return of the Trilateral undead It's not accidental that so many of the original members of the Trilateral Commission, all of whom are now well into their 80's, have returned to dance in the limelight once again.

TC Members like Henry Kissinger, Zbigniew Brzezinski, Paul Volker and Brent Scowcroft, for instance.

On January 5, 2009, Henry Kissinger was interviewed by CNBC on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. His voice still raspy and spoken with a thick accent, he responded to a question about President-elect Obama's first actions as President:

"he can give new impetus to American foreign policy ... I think that his task will be to develop an overall strategy for America in this period, when really a 'new world order' can be created. It's a great opportunity. It isn't such a crisis."

While the rest of the country slips into depression and financial collapse, to Kissinger "it isn't such a crisis."

And, of course it isn't -- for him.

Kissinger has been patiently waiting since at least 1973 for his New World Order egg to hatch.

And remember, in July 1971, Kissinger was the very first diplomat (under Nixon) to visit Communist China in order to open up trade relations with that brutal dictatorship. Oh, and that was an absolutely top-secret trip.

The Trilateral Commission was founded in 1973 to create a "New International Economic Order." George H.W. Bush, also a Trilateral, later spoke of inaugurating a "New World Order." Hence, in Trilateral literature, the two terms have been synonymous ever since. (see The Trilateral Commission: Usurping Sovereignty)

Kissinger earlier praised Obama's picks for economic recovery, and why not?

Obama picked Trilateral Commission wonder boy Timothy Geithner to be Secretary of the Treasury. The rest of the team are protégés of Robert Rubin, also a Trilateral and former Treasury Secretary under Clinton.

Obama's top foreign policy advisor has been Zbigniew Brzezinski, the co-founder of the Trilateral Commission with David Rockefeller.

In 1974, Brzezinski stated,

"We need to change the international system for a global system in which new, active and creative forces recently developed - should be integrated. This system needs to include Japan. Brazil, the oil producing countries, and even the USSR, to the extent which the Soviet Union is willing to participate in a global system... the reality of our times is that a modern society such as the U.S. needs a central coordinating and renovating organ which cannot be made up of six hundred people..”
For the uninitiated, "six hundred people" refers to Congress: Replace it with a Socialist/Communist central coordinating organ.

The call in Europe
Sarkozy (France), Merkel (Germany) and Blair (Great Britain) are all calling for a New World Order.

On January 7, French President Nicolas Sarkozy said that "In the 21st century, there it is no longer a single nation who can say what we should do or what we should think."

German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that the world "cannot continue as it is."

Both Tony Blair and the current British PM Gordon Brown have repeatedly called for a New World Order for many years, but their cries are intensified.

Interestingly, when President-elect Obama delivered a speech in 2008 to hundreds of thousands in Germany, he stated,

Tonight, I speak to you not as a candidate for President, but as a citizen — a proud citizen of the United States, and a fellow citizen of the world.”

The media hailed Obama for his vision of America and the New World Order.

Sampling of the global press
Indeed, the chorus for a New World Order is being heard around the world.

Africa: Time for a new world order
Australia: We need a new world health order
Canada: new world order rising?
China: Hu urges revamp of finance system
India: Plotting India's route in the new world order
Japan: New financial order will emerge from crisis
Malaysia: Groups to call for new world order
Quatar: Islam to emerge as the new world order

A crisis made to order?
Dr. Robert A. Pastor, the principal visionary of the North American Union, stated in 2007,

"What I'm saying is that a crisis is an event which can force democratic governments to make difficult decisions like those that will be required to create a North American Community," he said. "It's not that I want another 9/11 crisis, but having a crisis would force decisions that otherwise might not get made."

So, now we have the mother of all crises and on a global scale at that: Financial, political, religious (remember Islam?).

And socialistic solutions are being railroaded through on a daily basis.

If the New World Order baby is about to be delivered, wouldn't you expect the fathers (Kissinger, Brzezinski, Scowcroft, Volker, Rockefeller, et al) to show up and pace the floor?

Everybody figures that these guys are just crusty and harmless old men, but I will guarantee that when the baby is finally born the screaming will begin.
