Progressive regression and me.
Siesta Key Florida
There have been some request lately from some of my readers on who John Vodila is, so I am writing this combination of a little bit about me, inter twined into my view of what some call progress . To sum it up short I am just a God fearing hard working American, a simple man, my faults have been numerous but nothing to be condemned for (at least I pray not), nothing special, no rocket scientist, sorry. My father always told me just be the best at whatever you do, and I try.
I was born in 1960 and raised in one of the most beautiful places in the world, at the time.
Some would argue today it still is, this is because they don’t know the way it was.
An Island off of Sarasota Florida, Siesta Key known for the whitest sand in the world.
There was a time when the west side was my paper route on a bicycle and another boy had the east side. That was back before they started developing the island somewhere around 1973, back when the gulf of Mexico was still an aqua color and the visibility under water seemed as endless as the wild parakeets that lined the few power lines that were there. Yes it is hard to imagine today, there was a time the island was like something out of a movie, with wild parrots, star fish, sea horses, sand dollars, giant conks and the seasons were so numerous I can’t remember them all. I do remember seasons of red breasted robins so thick that one of my chores was to collect and bury all the ones that died from running into the sliding glass doors, and we had jelly fish, sea turtles, string ray, shark, and shrimp seasons.
There was no such thing as a fishing license, you just went fishing, I guess it was a God given right back then. I can remember cutting and making my own bamboo cane pole and putting a piece of bacon on the hook and pulling monster red snapper, mangrove snapper, flounder and every once in awhile even hooking a snook. You could see the fish in the water it was so clean and the stone crab claws, my favorite food.
As a child I was an alter boy at church, practiced piano every day for an hour and even played in recitals at the Van Wezel receiving superior awards, then it was water skiing and show practice every Saturday and Sunday after church. My parents kept me busy.
Progress came to paradise somewhere around 1973.
I believe they built the first condo, if my memory serves me correctly it was called the Terrace. It was a monster, this giant 15 story tall monstrosity built right on the beach. I know today 15 stories is nothing, but if you will take into consideration a 13 year old native islander as I was, this was a big thing to me, and what an eye sore. I could never understand how they thought it would survive the storms. Years later they did have many foundation problems but by then the entire coast line was littered with buildings bigger than the Terrace as the gulf of Mexico had changed colors 3 times by then also.
Good old progress.
The tourist flocked there, and within a decade the island was raped of almost every treasure. They caught and sold all the parrots, parakeets, seahorses, starfish, sand dollars, conks and a variety of other shells and species of all sorts. The only looting greater I have witnessed in my life is the politicians today looting the American people of their hard earned money. So much for the fruit of ones labor, it was and is a very sad thing to be a whiteness too indeed.
Progress, just as many today could never understand why it is not beautiful to me, but it is so beautiful to them, is the same way the younger generation cannot understand what is happening in our times today is incomprehensible and totally unacceptable to the likes of many of us elders.
Some remember the way it was.
I can remember my teen years, the 70′s, really fast cars, pretty girls and beach parties on Friday nights after drag racing at Beeridge extension, and maybe a wild chase with the local sheriff, heck they used to come out and watch the illegal drag races. Some of the fun we used to have we would be shot or imprisoned as a terrorist today for, or at least tasered , I remember when they first started putting the computers in the cop cars, I believe it was somewhere around 1976. That was the beginning of the end of freedom and liberty as we knew it, I knew big changes were coming even then.
Progressive regression the norm for the 21st century, where most people except anything they throw at us, today the government is our master. Who ever would have thought we would tolerate repression greater than anything King George could have ever imagined. The founding fathers have to be doing back flips in their graves, what a shame this thing we call progress, and destructive. Everyone, including myself chasing a piece of paper around, scouring around like a kicked fire ant hill and being forced to put it before family and friends just to survive. In my opinion it’s pathetic.
Whatever happened to the American way of life?
All those different jobs I had through the years, you know, the ones they claim today that no Americans want. I remember being able to survive by hard work such as digging ditches for sprinkler systems , pumping gas, roofing houses in Florida for about 5 years in my younger days on top of 120 degree roofs, and we didn’t have a pump kettle, we carried the hot by bucket up the ladder. I can remember running a tow and recovery service for Bills Amoco, four wheel drive F250 with a boom on the back and a good sized winch on the front. I always had my M1 Carbine loaded with a 30 round banana clip and a shotgun in the gun rack, back then guns were the norm. Yes hard work equaled pay your bills and even a little left over to have some fun or go fishing on the weekends. These days you have to be a scholar, a rocket scientist or a politician to make it, I guess that’s what they call progress today. I believe there are many young Americans today that are ready and willing to work hard until they figure out their life long occupation.
Well for me I guess you could say I am just a simple man, always believed live and let live, just don’t cross me. I almost joined the military but I was warned by some of my friends who had been in Vietnam not to unless I wanted to be G.I. (Government issue) . Dad marched me right down to sign up for selected services, it was close but I was lucky being born in 1960. I just missed the draft and Vietnam. I am glad I did knowing what I know today, entangling alliances, war profiteers and bankers equal senseless war, and the only ones who pay are the blind patriots and their families. I know I might be hitting a nerve saying that, but it’s true . The way I see it I have been serving my country right here in my country, as many have, and don’t get any credit for it, or expect to.
I left Florida in 1982 and moved to Nevada, as an ASE certified master mechanic I could get a job just about anywhere, and I did in Reno. A few years later opened my own automotive shop and did real well. I remember the first time I found out what a county assessor was. One day I was under a vehicle and noticed someone walking around my shop with a note pad writing things down and I came up to him and asked , what are you doing, he replied I am the county assessor, I replied what is that. He said he was there to assess my property for taxes, I said you have to be kidding me. He went on to explain how every year they assess your tools and equipment and tax you on there worth. So I replied, you are going to tax me on my tools and equipment that I have bought and payed taxes on over 10 years ago, every year? To make a long story short it didn’t go very well from there. I was ignorant to the business world but not for long. You get schooled real quick, they do everything but hold you up by your ankles and shake you to see if a penny drops. Progress in action, that’s taxes.
Still I was pretty ignorant to many things in my twenties and even into my thirties, I heard about the Oklahoma City bombing and the first world trade center bombing and would catch the news if that’s what you want to call it on the TV. I would hear some of my friends talk about the income tax issue, cover up’s and conspiracies but I was just oblivious, it pretty much went in one ear and out the other. I had never even used a computer or been on line until around 1999 when I began my trucking career.
My world was making a living, getting the job done and going camping, snow shoe back packing trips or jeeping in the Rubicon or Sierra Trek, it was always an adventure.
Then progress came once again.
The housing bubble, it was amazing. I don’t know the numbers but within a few years all the valleys from Reno to Cold Springs where I had a home were just about completely connected and the rush of people from California to New York came, the water tables were lowered and you could see the desert begin to take the Sierras with drought and fire. Neighborhoods climbing the mountains and along with it, rules, regulations and closed access roads to the back country. And of corse, more police. Next thing I know I am being charged with possession of a loaded fire arm in a public place off road going camping, and this was just the beginning. This is when I started paying attention and realizing things were taking a turn in my country for the worse. I started to get involved, and then 911 happened and my life has never been the same.
To make a long story short once Sid my Rottweiler was shot by black uniformed jack booted mercenaries in my front yard it was time to move.
I sold my home and packed everything I own in my tractor trailer and was off to a place in Kentucky I had my eyes on for some time. There’s no big progress there and I pray there won’t be in my life time.
After 911 I began my journey into the truth movement, I just could not bring myself to have a good time anymore knowing that 3000 of my fellow American’s were murdered, and watching others carry on like nothing even happened. It really bothered me and still does. So I began to investigate and read and the rabbit hole seems to have no bottom even after all these years.
It started to really get to me around 2006 after coming to a well rounded decision from all my study which you can see for yourself at http://thetruthnews.info that nothing is at it seems and what we are being told are lies to manipulate us to go along with, and pay for their diabolical plan of global control.
Fighting progressive regression.
This is when I realized I could vent some of my frustration and at the same time do something positive by sharing and giving a place for others who want to know, or at least have a starting point for their research and journey to truth. So I began reverse engineering and studying code because I wanted to be in complete control of my website, I have brought to the world thetruthnews.info.
Everything you see on thetruthnews.info has been read and watched by me, nothing gets posted without me reading or studying it first, it is basically our history and a library of information that you will not find in school or on the news. My selfishness is, it is my vent and makes me feel I am taking some action.
There is no charge, no sign up and nothing for sale for my profit. It is a gift to you.
And remember most of the information comes from a multitude of others, I just compile what I feel is important and need to know information from credible sources. The writings and rants are mine.
I still love my country, and remember the way it was.
Real progress to me is a knowledgeable citizenry, knowledge is power and with it we can all realize that we all have natural rights, rights come from God, not government.
As Lysander Spooner wrote:
“A legitimate government is established for the protection of the weak against the strong.”
The question is, do we today have such a government? ( I know that’s funny)
I have given a brief description of who I am and where I am coming from in this short write-up and I hope you don’t hold me not being a rocket scientist against me, thank you for your time and interest.
Today where it appears we are witnessing a tyranny trying to morph into some kind of fascist system I pray that God will bless you, the United States and the whole world with something, anything that resembles real progress, progress for not one, but for all. Amen.
